The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Health Department, Metropolitan Civil Services Unit has released a notification for the recruitment of Veterinary Officer and Entomologist on an 11-month contractual basis under the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Ahmedabad.

Essential Qualifications (Any one of the following):
- MBBS recognized by MCI with MD (PSM/Community Medicine/CHA/Tropical Medicine) or DNB (SPM/Community Medicine).
- Remuneration: ₹1,75,000 per month
- MBBS with EIS Training Course Certificate.
- Remuneration: ₹1,50,000 per month
. Entomologist
- Number of Vacancies: 01
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Entomology/Zoology (preferably PhD in Medical Entomology).
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in entomological investigations related to zoonotic diseases of public health importance, including disease surveillance and plague surveillance in India.
- Remuneration: ₹75,000 per month
. Veterinary Officer
- Number of Vacancies: 01
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years
- Essential Qualification:
- Postgraduate Veterinary Degree in Veterinary Public Health / Veterinary Epidemiology / Veterinary Medicine / Veterinary Microbiology / Veterinary Preventive Medicine / Veterinary Pathology from a recognized university.
- Registration with the Veterinary Council of India or State Veterinary Council is mandatory.
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Veterinary Public Health, Veterinary Epidemiology, or Animal Health.
- Relevant experience in Public Health, preferably in disease surveillance and outbreak investigations.
- Remuneration: ₹75,000 per month
