Vacancy Details
- Post Name: Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-III
- Total Vacancies: 15 Posts
- Reservation: Vacancies are reserved for Women, PwD (Persons with Disability), and Ex-Servicemen as per Gujarat Government rules.
- The number of posts may increase or decrease depending on administrative requirements.
Pay Scale
- Fixed Pay: ₹49,600/- per month for the first 5 years.
- After successful completion of 5 years, candidates will be placed in the 7th Pay Commission Scale of ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600/- (Level-7).
- Other allowances and benefits will be admissible as per government rules.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Automobile Engineering from a recognized University/Institution in India.
- Must possess basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.
- Must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years (as on the last date of application – 11th September 2025).
Age Relaxation (as per rules):
- Women (General): 5 years
- Reserved Category (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS): 5 years (for men), 10 years (for women)
- PwD Candidates: Up to 10–20 years depending on category (maximum age limit 45 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of service + 3 years relaxation
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Written Competitive Examination (CBRT/OMR).
Exam Pattern:
- Total Questions: 210
- Total Marks: 210
- Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes)
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
Part-A (60 Marks)
- Logical & Analytical Ability and Data Interpretation – 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30 Marks
Part-B (150 Marks)
- Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 Marks
- Subject-Related (Mechanical/Automobile Engineering) – 120 Marks
