WCR Apprentice Vacancy 2025: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), West Central Railway (WCR), Jabalpur has released an official notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025-26. This is a golden opportunity for candidates who have completed their 10th Class and ITI to join India’s prestigious Railway sector as an apprentice trainee.
A total of 2865 apprenticeship slots have been announced across different divisions and units of WCR. The online application process will begin on 30th August 2025 and will remain open till 29th September 2025 (11:59 PM).

Division/Unit-Wise Vacancy Distribution
The total 2865 apprenticeship seats are distributed as follows:
- Jabalpur Division (JBP): 1136 seats
- Bhopal Division (BPL): 558 seats
- Kota Division: 865 seats
- CRWS Bhopal: 136 seats
- WRS Kota: 151 seats
- Headquarters, Jabalpur: 19 seats
Trade-Wise Training Opportunities
The apprenticeship will be provided in various technical and mechanical trades such as:
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Welder (Gas & Electric)
- Machinist
- Turner
- Plumber
- Wireman
- Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)
- Electronics Mechanic
- Mechanic (Motor Vehicle / Refrigeration & AC)
- Blacksmith (Foundryman)

Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (as on 20th August 2025):
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST & 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Railway rules
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
- Must have ITI Certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be purely merit-based.
- A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the average percentage of marks in 10th Class and ITI.
- No written test or interview will be conducted.
- In case of tie marks, preference will be given to the candidate with older age and if DOB is the same, then who passed 10th earlier will be preferred.
- Final selection will be followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.

- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹141/- (₹100 application fee + ₹41 processing fee)
- SC / ST / PwBD / Women Candidates: ₹41/- (Processing fee only)
- Payment should be done online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Training Period & Stipend
- Selected candidates will undergo training as per Apprentices Act, 1961.
- They will receive a stipend as per Railway Board’s rules.

Candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a government-authorized doctor at the time of document verification.
